Overview:

Dash Courier & Logistics is seeking a proactive and organized Office Assistant to join our dynamic team. As an Office Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and supporting various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

This position will work with the following departments.

Driver Services - Assisting the Director of Safety, Compliance, and Training with various admin tasks with a focus on onboarding prospective drivers.

Business Development- Assisting the Business Develeopment Manager with various admin tasks with a focus on marketing, quoting bids, and client support.

Executive Support - Assisting the VP of Operations with various admin tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:
  • Provide general administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining office filing systems and databases.
  • Customer Service:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Handle inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings.
  • Office Management:
  • Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the office space at all times.
  • Data Entry and Record-Keeping:
  • Accurately enter data into spreadsheets, databases, and other software systems.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of records, reports, and documentation.
  • Support to Executive Team:
  • Provide administrative support to executives, including scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, and preparing materials.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and documents as needed.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in an administrative support role or similar position.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Previous experience in logistics or courier services is a plus.
