Job description:
OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF JOB:
To ensure the efficient operation of the agency office by providing specialized secretarial and clerical duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:
- Types letters, reports, memos and other documents required by the department staff
- Operates and maintains computer, printer, copier, scanner and other office equipment
- Updates computer databases as needed
- Troubleshoots minor computer problems and solves them when required.
- Utilizes case management system and inputs data as needed
- Creates various department forms and reports
- Does case filing, copying, and collating for staff
- Greets and assists the general public that come int the agency
- Answers telephone and takes messages or transfers calls to the proper individuals
- Sorts and distributes departmental mail
- Maintain accessibility and updated passwords to all required programs
- Sends various requests, reminders, letters, and other correspondence to families as required.
- Attend meeting and trainings as assigned
OTHER DUTIES OF JOB:
- Maintains spreadsheets and databases tracking time sensitive information
- Process incoming referrals and associated paperwork
- Perform tasks associated with the intake unit
- Perform other job-related duties as required
MET’s:
Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent; or any combination of equivalent experience and training

- Meet the minimum experience and training for the job
- Meritorious service: defined as the absence of any discipline above the level of written reprimand during the 12 months preceding the closing date of the posting.
