Role Summary
The Branch Operations Manager will supervise the day-to-day operations of the Platform Area and Teller Row, making recommendations regarding formulation, development and implementation of procedures to increase the capabilities, image and productivity of the department. The Branch Operations Manager will also be visible in the community by conducting Business Development Activities. The Branch Operations Manager will remain up-to-date on policy and regulation changes and recommend process updates to ensure the Credit Union's compliance to policies and regulations. They will ensure qualified team members are hired, provide and arrange for training in conjunction with the VP of ACT. They will conduct evaluations, orient team members to department duties and procedures. They will be responsible for achieving sales and referral goals for the areas of responsibility. Will also backup the Consumer Loan Manager in their absence.
Duties:
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve branch goals and objectives
- Lead and motivate a team of employees to deliver outstanding member service
- Monitor sales performance and develop action plans to drive revenue growth
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members and internal team members
- Ensure that periodic actual and trending reports are provided to Management and conduct presentations as may be required on occasion
- Assist with the budget for the department and track on an ongoing basis for adherence
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to team members
- Handles escalated member calls and visits for resolution
- Perform audits on all functions, oversees quality monitoring and recordkeeping for all requests
- Approve/deny loans, process loan applications as necessary
- Visit businesses, residential communities etc. for business development activities
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to identify new business opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in the same industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of financial management principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
