CPI Security, a leader in residential and commercial security solutions, is looking for a Staff Accountant to work in our Charlotte, North Carolina corporate office. What you'll do:

• Perform reconciliations and journal entries for month-end close.
• Compile month-end reporting schedules for management and other key stakeholders.
• Understand, develop and maintain processes for significant account classes and transactions, including inventory, fixed assets, leases, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and prepaids.
• Assist with cash management and forecasting.
• Preparation of monthly debt compliance reporting and assistance with the annual audit.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop processes and reporting.

What we're looking for:

• General ledger accounting knowledge including debits/credits and foundational understanding of financial statements and fluctuation analysis.
• Ability to implement and learn new processes and maintain documentation and support of work performed.
• Must be self-motivated and able to take the initiative to complete work in a highly accurate manner in conjunction with problem-solving skills.
• At least 1-2 years accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree required with a focus in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of excel.
• SQL experience.
