Staff Accountant role prepares and maintains financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. This position is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of the organization's reports and statements. Possesses strong time management and analytical skills, attention to detail, and solid communication abilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists in maintenance of general ledger for multiple legal entities.
• Instrumental in month-end close process with tasks including bank reconciliation, preparing, and posting journal entries.
• Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Recommends ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
• Responsible for maintenance and reconciliation of fixed assets on a monthly basis.
• Tasked with maintaining LeaseCrunch module on a monthly basis.
• Responds to inquiries in a courteous manner; provides information within area of assignment; resolves complaints in an efficient and timely manner or refers to higher staff.
• Performs ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
• Performs other tasks, functions and projects as assigned by Assistant Controller, Corporate Controller, or CFO.

 Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and three (3) years of related experience in accounting, OR an Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field and five (5) years of related experience, OR High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of related experience
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

 Preferred Qualifications:

• Public accounting external audit experience 
• Bill.com experience
• Netsuite experience
