Job Details
As a Senior Accountant specializing in SEC Reporting, you will become an integral part of our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to join a prestigious corporation where you will be responsible for preparing and filing documents for SEC, as well as managing the financial reporting process. You will also be involved in various accounting operations, including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations. This role requires a high degree of analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file SEC reports including 10-K, 10-Q, and other related documents.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities and journal entries related to stock compensation.
• Manage the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of the audit process.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining the PBC listing for external auditors.
• Participate in month-end and quarter-end accounting close processes, including preparation of cash flow statements, balance sheet flux analyses, audit schedules and equity schedules
• Manage the sub-certification process and follow-up to obtain responses on a quarterly basis
• Oversee the accounting for stock compensation grants.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act and all other applicable regulations.
• Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Perform continuous assessment of the close process and process re-engineering to reduce the timing to close the financial period.
• Support budget and forecasting activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• CPA license is a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in an accounting or financial reporting role.
• Experience with PeopleSoft, Workiva, and Fidelity systems.
• Proficient in US GAAP accounting and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience with XBRL tagging.
• Knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and its implications for financial reporting.
• Previous experience with C-Corp, 10K, 401k audits, 10Q, and monthly reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in a Big 4 firm is a plus.
