Archetype Permanent Solutions is Hiring a Senior Accountant Near Houston, TX
General Ledger Expertise:
- Review, analyze, and prepare monthly journal entries for month-end close, including historic true-ups, amortizations, and other necessary adjustments
- Analyze balance sheet account reconciliations for various legal entities and request appropriate explanations
- Preparation of Fixed Asset roll forward for multiple entities
- Prepare and analyze Statutory reconciliations
- Review and analyze variance analysis explanations
- Assist with internal & external audits by preparing and/or reviewing fluctuations for significant accounts between periods. This includes the preparation of other audit schedules for designated balance sheet accounts, as requested by external auditors
- Analyze Intercompany transactions to ensure proper accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four-year college/university
- Minimum of 5 years of general ledger accounting and analysis experience
- Oracle or other integrated accounting software experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of MS Office with advanced MS Excel skills required
- Oil and gas industry or shared services experience preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to compose routine correspondence with attention to grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- None required; however, CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Onsite 4 days a week, telework one day a week.
- The successful candidate should have the ability to work independently with little supervision, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize work effectively
- Annual salary range $80,000 - $90,000 DOE
