Primary Duties & Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting:Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and presentations for various levels of the organization including investors and lenders, highlighting key insights, trends, and recommendations on recurring and ad hoc bases.
2. Performance Analysis:Conduct variance analysis and performance metrics tracking to evaluate the financial performance of real estate assets and support departments to identify key drivers of performance, and recommend strategies for improvement.
3. Data Validation and Documentation:Validate and own financial data, dashboards, and financial reporting and clearly and concisely document and support underlying assumptions and analytical outcomes.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for properties and portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and market trends.
5. Financial Modeling:Develop and maintain financial models to analyze existing assets as well as investment opportunities, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analysis, and valuation models.
6. Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, corporate services, asset management, and property management to gather relevant data and insights, understand market drivers, and ensure alignment of financial goals with operational strategies.
7. Ad Hoc Analysis:Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as required, providing insights to address specific business questions or challenges.
8. Process Transformation:Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and continue to scale the organization for enhanced efficiency, effectiveness, and continued growth.

Required Skills:

• Ability to think critically, analyze data, and consider multiple data-points.
• Self-starter who is intellectually curious and detail-oriented.
• Highly proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and coordinate multiple tasks and assignments.
• Excitement to learn, grow, and be challenged.
• Ability to travel <10% to visit properties in Canada, FL, and along the East Coast.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis.
• Previous Real Estate experience is a plus but not required.
