Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a small apartment complex. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of property leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations. This is a full-time position located in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.
MUST HAVE: 5 years or more experience with government assisted and transitional housing.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents in maintain government or subsidized funding.
- Manage and maintain all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and property maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections of apartments to ensure they are well-maintained and meet safety standards
- Screen and select qualified tenants, including conducting background checks and verifying income
- Negotiate lease agreements and ensure compliance with all legal requirements
- Address tenant concerns and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, including hiring contractors and overseeing work quality
- Maintain accurate records of all property-related transactions and activities
Requirements:
- Proven experience in property management or related field
- Strong knowledge of property leasing processes and legal administrative procedures
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities
- Proficient in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette
