Comcentric is Hiring a Marketing Events Specialist Near Austin, TX
We are seeking a Marketing Events Specialist for a 12-month contract (with the potential for extension and/or conversion to perm).
Position Overview:
The Event Specialist is responsible for assisting the Events and Sponsorship Manager with planning, organizing, and coordinating events to ensure they run smoothly and successfully.
Pay rate: $24/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate event logistics including venue selection, scheduling, hotel accommodations, equipment rental, organizing materials needed pre- and post-event, and transportation arrangements.
- Manage event budgets ensuring expenses stay within allocated funds. Monitor costs throughout the planning process and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
- Develop strategies to attract attendees and raise awareness of events.
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams throughout the planning and execution phases. Provide regular updates, respond to inquiries, and address concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Three to five years of experience in event planning and coordination.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
