Compensation: $200,000 to $230,000 per year
The Chief Learning Officer (CLO) will spearhead our Programs, Curriculum, and Career Center team in revolutionizing higher education computer science education, partnering with the founders to lead the entire organization in increasing graduation rates and enabling successful tech careers for underserved students. The CLO will be the ultimate owner of our students' end-to-end experience. Joining a team that currently serves 10,000 students annually, the CLO will be responsible for ensuring our continued impact, developing new, innovative ways to improve our programs, scaling our reach to 100,000 students annually, and delivering a student experience that is 100x better.

Key Success Metrics
Elevate Internship and Graduation Success: Increase rates of internship placements and graduations for our students.
Program Capacity Expansion: Scale our programs' capacity from 10,000 to 100,000 students annually.
Uniform Quality Assurance: Maintain consistent, high-quality student experience across all participating universities.
Personalized Student Experience: Foster greater personalization within each student's learning journey.
Industry-Ready Graduates: Enhance the level of rigor of industry readiness among our graduates for immediate career success.
Efficiency in Scaling: Improve cost efficiency in program delivery while increasing program scale.
Strategic Leadership and Planning
Architect a strategic roadmap in collaboration with the CEO, and senior directors to drive initiatives and experiments that increase program capacity, quality, impact, and student experience.
Directly manage the Programs while supporting the directors in managing and directing their teams for effective program development and delivery.
Act as a strategic advisor for student technical readiness, pedagogy, curriculum, and career center services.
Experimentation / Innovation
Drive experimentation to improve the student experience, impact, consistency, and scalability of our programs.
Collaborate with the product engineering team on our product roadmap to enable greater scale, enhance personalization, and improve the overall student experience.
Supervise rigorous, publishable quasi-experimental studies with an external research partner to quantify our influence on student success and university outcomes.
Regularly assess instruction quality and curriculum effectiveness by shadowing and observing classrooms.
External Collaboration and Thought Leadership
Represent the organization in external events, conferences, and forums.
Partner with the Marketing team to produce insightful thought leadership content that showcases our mission, goals, and achievements.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with industry leaders, stakeholders, and funders.
Computer Science Degree
At least 3 years of software engineering or product management experience
At least 3 years of teaching or curriculum development experience
Experience at multiple tech companies with a preference for a mix of established and startup with demonstrated signs of excellence
Strong track record of leadership and people management skills, with experience managing and leading teams of 15 .
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, making sense out of chaos, and unafraid to roll up sleeves to get the job done.
Exceptional project/product management skills, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple competing priorities effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with external stakeholders.
