Job Title: Service Specialist

Position Location: Raleigh, NC

Your impact:

As a Service Specialist, you'll have the daily opportunity to use your technical skills and accuracy and detail orientation to process member batch transactions and adjustments, handle wire transfers, and perform member transactions received from other departments in the Credit Union. In addition, your customer service talent and problem solving abilities will be utilized to provide internal customers with a great customer service experiences.

The contributions you can anticipate making:

• Processing daily ACH files such as exceptions, allocation of payroll, and account balancing.

• Processing daily in-clearing files and return items such as exceptions, member notifications, and account balancing.

• Processing outgoing wires that are received.

• Protecting Coastal by ensuring that all transactions are performed in compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures, and are within approval levels.

• Processing and approving daily ATM and Mobile Image approvals, rejections, and notifications to members.

• Maintaining current knowledge of products and services so you may assist other roles in Deposit Operations when the need arises.

• Verifying that all requests received have complete information and documentation, submitting them, and ensuring proper final disposition of all documentation.

• Assisting internal customers

• A detail-oriented individual who "needs" things to be accurate and "add up"

• A person who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team when assistance and teamwork is needed

• An individual who derives satisfaction from taking a concern or problem and seeing it through to a resolution

• Someone who's comfortable handling confidential information

• A person who enjoys making interaction with others a pleasant and positive experience

Experience:

• At least one year of payment processing experience, preferably with a financial institution

• ACH operational experience including origination files and exception processing

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
