Chef Manager Job Profile

• Responsible for supervising and directing the work of all food and beverage employees.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and work areas are clean, safe and orderly.
• Strictly adhere to policies and procedures
• Maintain food costs within budgetary constraints. Maintain strict inventory control.
• Interview, make hiring recommendations and orient new staff.
• Schedule and reschedule staff using independent judgment and exercising discretion when creating the schedule.
• Responsible for tracking attendance and effectively carrying out disciplinary action where appropriate.
• Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
• Plan Community and individual resident menus as ordered by the primary care provider.
• Plan meals for special events as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Chef Manager Job Requirements

• Relevant work experience (2 years)
• At least one-year supervisory experience, 2 preferred.
• Knowledge of DHSR Dietary regulations.
• Complete state required Food Service Orientation Manual.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
