The Human Resources Generalist is a vital position that supports the HR department and the employee experience. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Generalist will perform administrative tasks and generalist projects to support all aspects of Human Resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the confidentiality of all HR personnel matters
  • Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource records, personnel files, and other documentation
  • Answer frequently asked questions from existing employees and new applicants relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. Refer more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
  • Exercise meticulous attention to detail
  • Provide HR Generalist support to the HR department, including:
    • Recruiting (scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, )
    • New hire orientation
    • Training
    • Payroll
    • Events
    • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB)
    • Data entry
    • Flu shots/TB testing/COVID vaccination requirements
    • Monthly reports
    • New hire 60 and 90-day check-ins
    • Certifications and licensure requirements
    • Filing
    • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Proficient with (or the ability to learn quickly) payroll management, human resource information systems (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize several tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 3 years of general office administrative experience
  • 2 years of HR experience preferred
  • Proficient in Excel

Salary Range:

$51,000 to $75,500
  • The starting base pay for this position is as shown above. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, and market demand. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
