Children Home is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Binghamton, NY

The Children's Home is looking for a organized, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our Central Intake department.

What you will do in your role

  • Demonstrate standards of a high performing team member by working collaboratively and cooperatively with various intra and interdepartmental personnel, families and community agency representatives to achieve common goals.
  • Complete required reports and documentation in a timely manner meeting all standards of content and professional presentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of various data as required by department, agency and State mandates.
  • Prepare, organize and disseminate information and correspondence essential to the daily operations of the intake department employing optimum utilization of technology for efficiency.
  • Provides support and assistance to the Director of Intake to ensure effective program planning, implementation and evaluation as well as physical plant operation.
  • Complete required reports and documentation in a timely manner meeting all standards of content and professional presentation.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervisory meetings and attend trainings and in-service opportunities within the Agency and the community in order to enhance job skills and promote professional growth and development.
  • Role model positive social skills, maintain professional boundaries with students, use sound judgment in making decisions that impact students, co-workers, programs and the Agency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma and 3 years experience in the secretarial/office technologies field required.
  • AAS Degree in Secretarial/Office Technologies from an accredited college or university with experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
