Description Crain's New York Business is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join their dynamic sales team. This position is the ideal next step for the self-motivated and driven sales professional who loves customized selling based on value and to represent an established, respected yet evolving brand that business owners and agencies respect. This is a fast-moving role within the competitive media field. Our solutions include print, online, custom content and event sponsorships. This position will generate advertising revenue via new business with a strong focus on digital and growing a current base of advertisers. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required 5 years of successful solutions-based sales experience in a business-to-business environment Proven ability to prospect and develop new business as well as manage and grow existing business Ability to anticipate customer’s needs, find effective solutions and solve customer’s problems Possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as outstanding listening skills Ability to achieve all sales goals through a focused and strategic approach to sales Detail oriented with the ability to manage all of the details of online campaigns accurately Solid knowledge and experience using research tools Ability to create programs and partner with customers as they grow their business Experience selling in the New York area Custom content solutions background Salesforce experience This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. Pay Transparency Disclosure: The estimated base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000. This position will also be eligible for a sales commission plan. The final salary offering will take into account a wide range of factors, including experience, accomplishments and location. The salary range provided should not be considered as a salary limit or cap. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of many Crain jobs. Physical activities will include frequent in-person or virtual interactions. For most positions, it is essential to be able to remain at a desk/computer workstation for prolonged periods, perform computer-related tasks, and create/maintain documents within filing systems. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing reports and information, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or extensive reading. The typical physical requirements are light work—exerting up to 25 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently and may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Some positions will have additional physical requirements, including exerting up to 50 lbs of force to move and/or carry equipment, supplies, files, or other materials as the role requires.
