Castle Metals is Hiring a Benefits Manager Near Brook, IL
- Develop, maintain, and update benefit strategies and programs for a global organization, including but not limited to health and welfare plans, leaves of absence, wellness programs, and retirement plans in support of the Company’s strategic objectives.
- Serve as primary point person for all benefits inquiries.
- Manage and lead end-to-end open enrollment processes, including creating employee materials for benefit plan decision and hosting employee training sessions.
- Administer company retirement plans, including 401k and pension plans, in accordance with regulations.
- Administer leave of absence policy and ADA accommodation process in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Works closely with US and international benefit brokers to manage claim projections, plan design, vendor relations, service requirements, negotiations and selections to meet the various needs of benefits.
- Maintains benefit plan compliance with federal and state regulations and enforces adherence to ERISA regulations; assists with reporting and compliance requirements (e.g. ACA, 5500’s, SARs, SPDs).
- Configures benefit plans within the Company’s HRIS.
- Partners with Accounting and Finance leadership to provide oversight for all internal and external audits of benefit plans, as well as planning and forecasting of annual budgets.
- Prepares and distributes communication materials to inform employees of benefit programs, and manages communication campaigns such as Open Enrollment, Annual Wellness Programs, and Health Fairs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Extensive knowledge of benefits programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation
- Deep experience with benefit compliance, (e.g., ACA, Form 5500 filing) and knowledge of laws relating to benefits, including HIPAA, ERISA, PPACA, etc.
- Experience with 401K administration
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong data analytics skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal effectiveness with the ability to establish positive working relationships at all levels of an organization
- Experience with UKG Benefits Administration
- Experience with defined benefit/pension plans
- General office environment (keyboard, mouse, telephone use)
- Manual dexterity (grasp, hand/wrist movement)
