Carnegie Mellon University's department ofEnterprise Space Information Management (ESIM) is searching for a GIS Program Manager to join the team! This is an excellent opportunityfor someone whothrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.
CMU is building an Enterprise Space Information Management (ESIM) service to develop, manage and maintain decision support systems for enterprise space strategies. This service will develop standards, processes, systems and applications that meet the data needs of academic and administrative departments with spatial data including application development, and data attribution, collection and availability. We need an organized, motivated self-starter who will lead the planning, design, development, implementation, rollout and support of a university-wide GIS service. This position will design, configure, manage , maintain and support maps and GIS applications for different functions.
This position is responsible for partnering with groups across the university clients to provide application development and support, spatial analysis, report design and generation, geospatial database maintenance, and general support across internal disciplines, and will provide GIS support and technical expertise to our internal and external customers clients. This role includes documenting cases where a GIS solution can improve operations, working with internal and external support resources to support the servers and applications software to ensure maximum information system availability and system performance.
