Capital District Transportation Authority is Hiring a Customer Service Representative (ACCESS) (Albany, NY) Near Albany, NY
- Register new clients. Verify client eligibility as required. Enter information about all matters pertaining to a trip accurately and completely. Enter information received over the telephone, via fax transmittal, email, or by mail.
- Follow procedures for cancellations and for verifying trip information before saving record. Obtain information from Annual Rate Schedule.
- Comply with operating policies and procedures. Refer to the Call Center Procedures Manual and the Albany County DFA guidelines as necessary.
- Make inquiries about mobility and transportation options as necessary to ensure appropriate mode of transportation is used. Ensure that DFA transportation is utilized only as a last resort.
- Report complaints/accidents and provide information to resolve incidents. Report incidents regarding safety or suspected fraud immediately to your supervisor.
- Treat all matters pertaining to a client as strictly confidential, provide only the information necessary to provide a trip safely and effectively. Follow all HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
- Know when to make referrals to 211 United Way, NY Connects, STAR, and other resources.
- Maintain client records, obtain registrations, and consent forms.
- Assist with transporter billing using Excel and perform light office duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to work with Seniors by having compassion and understanding. Must have computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and email.
- College degree preferred.
- Must have customer service skills, computer skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications in an office setting is mandatory
