Position Overview: Are you passionate about the art of BBQ? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a knack for creating mouthwatering dishes that leave guests craving for more? If so, we want you to join our team as our BBQ Pitmaster. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our BBQ operations, from menu creation to food preparation and presentation. You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and expertise while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute an innovative BBQ menu that highlights the freshest seasonal ingredients sourced from Beach Plum Farm
• Prepare and cook a variety of BBQ dishes
• Ensure the quality and consistency of all BBQ offerings, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create synergy between BBQ offerings and other menu items
• Train and mentor kitchen staff on BBQ techniques and best practices
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to support BBQ operations
• Uphold Beach Plum Farm's commitment to sustainability by minimizing waste and utilizing locally sourced ingredients whenever possible
• Maintain a clean and organized BBQ station, including equipment maintenance and sanitation

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a BBQ Pitmaster or similar role, with a strong understanding of smoking and grilling techniques
• Extensive knowledge of different cuts of meat and poultry, as well as seasoning and flavor profiles
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and quality
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• A passion for food and a dedication to delivering an exceptional culinary experience to our guests
