Each property offers a unique lodging experience, excellent dining venues, exciting nightlife destinations and successful retail and wellness outlets. While focused in New Jersey, the brand has expanded into the East End of New York, where its distinctive approach to hospitality has thrived. Current hotel portfolio includes: Congress Hall, The Virginia Hotel & Cottages, The Star Inn, the Beach Shack, Sandpiper Beach Club and Beach Plum Farms in Cape May, NJ. Baron’s Cove in Sag Harbor, NY and The Pridwin Hotel in Shelter Island represent the brand in NY state. 

Position Overview:

This position works with the Senior Director of Marketing to develop and execute both internal and external social media plans for the hotels, restaurants, special events and activities on multiple platforms for two of the properties in the East End, NY. This position requires a candidate who can act as a passionate and knowledgeable brand ambassador, both internally and externally, on behalf of the hotels and Cape Resorts. Due to the nature of the position, some weekend work will be expected to fulfill responsibilities.

Social Media – What you will be responsible for:

Social Media Channels – Community management:

  • Leverage social media channels to grow brand awareness for the hotels, restaurants, activities and experiences.
  • Researching, collecting, and writing authentic content for social media channels Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat,etc.
  • Take, select and curate posts that are on-brand both visually and in copy.
  • Attending events at hotels to provide live, local coverage. This will in some cases include weekends. 
  • Engage relevant influencers, brand partners and brand advocates in an authentic way.
  • Monitor, respond, and flag online conversations 
  • Brainstorm and execute creative content.
  • Optimize posting schedule & frequency to obtain maximum interaction & impact including leveraging paid social boost and ads.

Reporting:

  • Provide monthly reports on social media growth.
  • Provide monthly customer service reports outlining top praise & complaints for each hotel.
  • Proactively communicate issues, opportunities, and insights to improve performance.
  • Regularly provide feedback of insights obtained from social media monitoring to the marking team to ensure that social outreach is fully integrated with web, PR, and event marketing in a timely fashion.

  • You have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and remain graceful under pressure.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in marketing or business.
  • A marketer with minimum 3 years’ experience in social media.
  • Skilled in use of Adobe In-Design, Word Press, MS Office Suite.
