ARP Financial Business Analyst

Louisville Metro Government (LMG) received more than $388 million from the U.S. Department of

the Treasury through the Coronavirus State & Local Fiscal Recovery Funds program. The ARP

Accounting team responsible for financial management of that award is seeking a BA with

experience in budget, accounting, grant compliance, and/or financial reports.

The selected person will:

• Develop and maintain financial forecasts for a portfolio of federally funded projects.

• Factor guidance issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury into financial forecasts.

• Communicate the results of financial forecasts with project leadership and non-financial managers.

• Liaise with project managers and LMG department staff to gather information to inform financial forecasts.

• Utilize a combination of computer and critical thinking skills.

• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion is essential with data and information.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of recent, relevant work experience

• 3 years of budget forecasting and/or grant accounting experience

• Have exceptional written and oral communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas to streamline data analysis

• Experience working autonomously while also contributing toward a collaborative team environment

• Must be comfortable working with technological tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with Workday financial reporting.

• Knowledge of Federal financial requirements/methodologies

• Working knowledge of government regulations as they pertain to grant accounting and compliance

• Preparing and delivering financial analyses for government executives and non-financial managers

• Proficient in Microsoft Product Suites (Word, PowerPoint)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
