C&M Legal Search is Hiring a Senior Communications Manager Near Chicago, IL
- Serve as a strategic communications partner for the IT department; edit emails, support new projects, develop comprehensive communications plans and campaigns, and optimize messaging for enhanced efficiency.
- Draft, edit and format internal emails, newsletters, one-pagers, invitations, presentations, and other communication materials.
- Effectively analyze stakeholder requests using problem-solving skills, exercising good judgment, and distilling complex topics into concise, easily understandable language tailored to the audience.
- Play a role in developing and guiding junior colleagues.
- Partner with various internal departments to find opportunities to collaborate and tell stories.
- Work with the Branding & Creative team to ensure consistency of Firm tone and branding.
- Contribute to and support other initiatives as needed to assist the team.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a specialization in communications, journalism or an equivalent field. Professional services experience is a plus.
- We are seeking a candidate with at least 10 years in a leading communications role, with management experience.
- Strong writing skills and a solid command of the Associated Press style guide, grammar and journalistic writing principles is required.
- Demonstrate a nimble, proactive and energetic approach to tasks and challenges.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to connect the dots, leverage resources around you and be creative.
- Ability to decipher proper tone and approach used in materials for different audiences.
- Professional, punctual, and dependable — understands the importance of this role; takes ownership and pride in responsibilities.
- Technical experience should include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HTML at minimum, with a proven track record of easily adapting to new software and technologies.
- Experience with e-marketing platforms is necessary.
