Role Overview

The Regional Sales Manager will report directly to the Sales Director and is responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan for the San Francisco Bay Area. This position will focus on driving revenue growth and profitability through the sales of Gator Bio biomolecular label-free BLI instrumentation, consumables, and service support products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and surpass monthly and yearly sales goals in the assigned territory.
  • Identify, develop, and close key business opportunities within the life sciences research sector.
  • Craft and maintain strategic account plans to drive incremental growth.
  • Network with key decision-makers to build relationships and discover new opportunities.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer information using the Sales Force CRM system.
  • Present and explain our technology, applications, and the benefits of our products.
  • Collaborate with Field Application Scientists and the Service team to ensure effective product demonstrations and post-sales support.
  • Participate in trade shows, educational sessions, and user group meetings.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Advanced degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in capital equipment sales.
  • Proven track record of selling bioanalytical instruments and reagents to biotech, biopharma, and life science research labs.
  • Knowledge of Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI), Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), or ELISA highly regarded.

Skills:

  • Self-motivated and sales-driven, with strong organizational skills for executing sales plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport at all levels.
  • Must reside within the San Francisco Bay Area and be able to travel 30-40%, including overnight trips.

Technical:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Sales Force or other CRM tools.
