Position Description Gastroenterology Procedural Unit Monday-Friday 7:00am -3:30pm $2,000 sign-on bonus (terms/taxes apply) The Patient Experience Representative provides support to the administrative operations of a clinical service and works to ensure the best possible patient experience by effectively coordinating services to patients and families. Actively participates in and contributes to departmental and organizational initiatives & projects with a focus on continuous process improvement. Performs various administrative functions requiring in-depth knowledge of programs and services. Provides positive and effective customer service that supports departmental and hospital operations. General Summary Provides support to the administrative operations of a clinical service and works to ensure the best possible patient experience by effectively coordinating services to patients and families. Principal Duties and Responsibilities a. Patient Encounter Management: a. Provides positive and effective customer service that supports unit operations. b. Collaborates with referring providers and practices. d. Schedules patients and supports the patient encounter b. Check-In / Check-Out: a. Greets and directs patients, families, and visitors. b. Monitors daily schedule and coordinates flow with clinicians /supervisors. c. Administrative: c. Records and forwards messages, triages calls for urgent information or services, initiates call for emergency services. d. Provides routine clerical support as needed. d. Process Improvement: a. Actively contributes to departmental and organizational initiatives & projects with a focus on continuous process improvement. b. Assists in implementing change in internal systems and procedures.
