BCBSM Career Section is Hiring a HRIS Analyst Near Detroit, MI

SUMMARY 

Under general supervision, partners with members of the Human Resources team, Information Technology and business functions to explore and deploy new functionality, analyze current practices and improve processes by leveraging new and existing technology. Ensure the integrity of the HR data by effectively implementing and testing system changes, designing/developing key reporting and providing on demand reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Respond to daily inquiries from current and past employees via Oracle Help Desk, phone or email.
  • Perform transactional HR updates, including employee assignment, personal data and benefit events.
  • Monitor, audit and troubleshoot application, reporting and integration issues to ensure accuracy and timeliness of data and delivery.
  • Support HCM system configuration changes, functionality deployments, upgrades, enhancements, testing and validation.
  • Document and analyze processes to identify complex, non-value adding, inefficient or error-prone steps and quantify the business impact of the waste or defects. 
  • Assist with broadening internal knowledge of HCM systems for managers, employees and HR, including the development of procedural and process documentation and administering training.
  • Assist on HRIS related projects or enhancements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiar with advanced functionality such as complex formulas, pivot tables, vlookups, etc.
  • Ability to make decisions based on limited information and understand impact to business.
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and within established deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and with HRIS team and or areas of the organization.
  • Other related skills and/or abilities may be required to perform this job.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or Human Resources Management required.
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resource compliance, systems structure, functions and processes; understanding of interdependencies between various systems and downstream impact.
  • Two years experience in Human Resources or related environment required.
  • Two years experience with Oracle Cloud HCM or equivalent HRIS system required.
