Job Summary
B&A is looking for a Program Manager to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and technologies. The Program Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and in alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
  • The Program Manager shall plan, coordinate, implement and finalize significant, complex projects and/or multiple smaller initiatives according to the specifications and deadlines, all while keeping the project within budget and on schedule.
  • The Government will define the program's objectives, approve schedules, and oversee quality control throughout the entire process.
  • All parties shall identify, assess, and minimize project risks until successful task completion.
  • The Program Manager will work with and manage the activities of various involved parties to include both internal and external stakeholders.
  • The Program Manager shall plan and support major milestones throughout the engineering life cycle and assist in developing schedules and deliverable requirements.
  • This position requires that the Program Manager be able to review all project documentation and guide others efficiently by assisting others as needed with specific IT projects and planning.
  • The planning and coordination for this effort will be extensive, covering an active workload of over 20 enterprise level projects.
  • The Program Manager shall manage and administer all efforts undertaken in this Task Order to include, but not limited to: ensuring all work activities are performed in a timely and cost effective manner while maintaining the highest quality of performance; manage and oversee all personnel and resources utilized in the performance of this Task Order; identify and maintain a management structure and organization with overall project control and authority for the performance of work under this Task Order.
  • The Program Manager shall plan, staff, interview, select, evaluate, train, monitor, and direct staff. Shall manage and oversee staff ticket closure rates, performance related Service Level Agreements (SLA) when they are developed, compiling reports on performance metrics to monitor or increase staff performance, and ensure SLAs are met and exceeded.
  • The Program Manager shall be responsible for creating, producing, and maintaining ticketing system reports and metrics reports.
  • The Program Manager shall be responsible for monitoring the ticketing system to identify any trends or inconsistencies and providing detailed reports to management.
  • Responsible for providing direction, guidance, and support to staff. Responsible for encouraging, rewarding, and motivating staff upon their recognizing and documenting process improvements. Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with staff, customers, and end-users.
  • The Program Manager shall be responsible for providing reports on a scheduled basis as well as an ad-hoc basis.
  • The Program Manager shall be responsible for delivering services and maintaining new Service Level Agreements.
  • The Program Manager shall continuously look for process improvements, document and maintain standard operating procedures and workflow procedures.
  • The Program Manager shall develop project plans that reflect a holistic approach to the standardization process and identify resource loading and achievable timelines, which may include making changes to multiple plans in parallel to avoid any system and network down time or degradation in performance.
Education and Experience
  • A bachelors' degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 10 years of relevant experience providing project management support for enterprise level IT projects is required
Required Skills
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
  • ITIL, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Atlassian (JIRA) certification, or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) certifications preferred.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering business value and achieving organizational goals.
  • Experience in managing project budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure project profitability and client satisfaction.
Desired Skills
  • Master's degree in business administration, Project Management, or related field.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle, and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, with a passion for excellence and continuous improvement.
Security Clearance
  • Must have an active Top-Secret Clearance.
