Position Information Missouri Baptist University is looking to hire an Instructional Designer. The Instructional Designer is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. The Instructional Designer collaborates with faculty to design, develop, and implement engaging, accessible online courses that uphold the university's Christian values, and academic and quality standards. The ID provides faculty training and assists with the operational functions of the Office of Online Learning.Responsibilities Collaborate with faculty to design, develop, and implement engaging online courses.Provide training and support to faculty in the areas of instructional technology, online course design best practices, Quality Matters, online pedagogy, accessibility, learning theory, etc.Conduct needs assessments, learning analyses, and instructional strategies to optimize the effectiveness of online courses.Conduct quality assurance reviews of online courses to ensure they meet academic standards and are accessible to all students.Assist with operational & administrative functions of the Office of Online Learning (budgeting, invoices, reports, etc.)RequirementsMinimumBachelors degree in instructional design OR--Bachelors degree and ID certification from a recognized provider and related experience ORBachelors degree and two years experience in instructional designPreferredMasters degree in a related disciplineQuality Matters certification2-3 years experience in instructional designWorking knowledge of Canvas LMS#J-18808-Ljbffr
