Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and be proficient in QuickBooks Desktop.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding payment inquiries
Experience:
- Proficiency in debits and credits
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Understanding of tax implications related to accounts payable
- Ability to perform general ledger accounting tasks
