Opportunity to earn $84,000 or more in the first year! We offer a $45,000 base with a commission plan that allows you the freedom to exceed quota and define your own hours (*see full compensation details below job description). We provide training, coaching, and set you up for success in this door-to-door and face-to-face entrepreneurial-style opportunity. Plus, you will be representing a superior internet package and company that cares about you and our customers.

Astound Broadband Powered by Wave is currently searching for a Direct Sales Representative for our San Francisco to Oakland and East Bay, California territory. This opportunity is responsible for promoting and selling quality services including Data, Video and Phone throughout a specific region via door-to-door sales and events to residential prospective customers.

What you need to know...

  • Our Direct Sales Representatives visit potential customers at their residences to discuss service needs, provide pricing quotes and sign up orders. Astound services are competitively priced and we provide the best value in the markets we serve.
  • This is face-to-face and door-to-door. It's not easy for everyone; however, the salaried/commission-based compensation is solid with great earnings potential. Our first year DSRs meeting 100% of full quota will bring in approximately $80,000 with the potential to earn more, as this is an uncapped commission role. Initiative leads to success.
  • You will receive an assigned territory with options to prospect beyond your area with excellent training/coaching and adjusted quota during ramp-up period.
  • You set your own schedule with only a few mandatory meetings and/or events.
  • Excellent benefit options to fit yours and your family's needs for medical, dental, vision, and other healthcare programs. Matching 401k, short-term and long-term disability, and much, much more.

  • Characteristics that include integrity, persistence and resiliency when days don't always go as planned
  • Bring relevant work or volunteer experience that includes customer service, hospitality, social service, door-to door sales, campaign canvassing, etc.
  • Previous knowledge or interest in learning about telecommunications services and equipment
  • Ability to plan, organize and actively manage your schedule

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record as determined by the company
  • Able to pass post-offer and pre-employment background and drug screening
  • Excellent verbal communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft products and smart phones
  • Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Excellent detail orientation and follow through skills
  • Flexibility with schedules
  • Preferred 6 months to 1 year of outside sales experience
  • Preferred experience achieving and exceeding sales quota goals

*Base salary: The base salary range for this position in the San Francisco - Bay Area in California state is $45,000, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, geographical area, experience, and capabilities.

*Commission component: Targeted commissions are $39,000 annually. Our sales total compensation offers the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.
