Aston Carter is seeking a career-driven individual with a experience in project management or warehouse management interested in an Operations Manager position with a growing electrical company in Curtis Bay, MD 21226!

**This is a fully on-site position located in the Curtis Bay area. All qualified candidates must be comfortable commuting to this location**

Description:

• Manage staff, systems and processes for all wire operations, including:
  • Day-to-day Will Call and Delivery Wire Order processing
  • Scheduled Project Order management and processing
  • Inventory management and replenishment
  • Wire equipment management
• Develop and manage wire services processes, to include:
  • Process design (implement new wire services)
  • Process performance (develop/maintain key performance and trend analyses)
  • Process improvement (evaluating and recommending changes for improvement)
• Communicate effectively with managers, staff, salespeople, and external partners
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Timely and appropriate communication and follow-up
  • Effective sales and customer communication
  • Ability to develop/deliver presentations and process reviews
  • Coordinate responses and actions with other operations departments
• Understand and maximize software use required for Operations Services operations:
  • o Warehouse management software (Solar Eclipse)
  • Add-on business applications (Phocas, project management applications, etc.)
  • Office software tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement new tools for Wire Services
• Ability to learn and understand company Wire product offerings, including:
  • Aluminum and Copper feeder cable / cutting groups
  • Wire insulation types (THHN, XHHW, etc.)
  • Specialty wire (MC, Medium voltage, service, greenfield, etc.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 2 years of Operations management experience, including:

• Project / service program management experience
  • Customer interaction and communication
  • Warehouse management and wholesale distribution
  • Wire cutting or wire sales experience is a plus

• Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Business, Liberal Arts, Supply Chain or related)

• In lieu of a degree, project management, wire sales, wire processing, or distribution experience may be considered.

Schedule: M-F 7:00am-4:00pm on-site
