ASSYST, Inc. is Hiring a Deputy Project Manager Near Sterling, VA
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the IT Project Manager to develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate team meetings, providing updates and fostering a positive team environment.
- Assist in resource allocation and management, ensuring the availability of necessary skills and expertise.
- Monitor team workload and assist in balancing work assignments.
- Work closely with project teams to execute project plans and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Identify and assess project risks, working with the IT Project Manager to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address issues to ensure project success.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to best practices.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, milestones, and potential issues.
- Serve as a point of contact for project-related inquiries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in IT project management or a related role.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is desirable.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
