APEX is Hiring an Office Manager Near Los Angeles, CA

Spacecraft represent the most pressing unmet need across the entire aerospace industry. As launch costs decrease, more and more companies and governments are launching increasingly large numbers of smaller satellites. For the first time in history, this increase in demand is driving a massive need for spacecraft platforms, known as satellite buses. Satellite buses carry customers’ payloads and are delivered to space on launch vehicles.

Apex manufactures satellite buses at scale using a combination of disruptive software, vertical integration, and hardware that is adesigned for manufacturing. Our satellite buses are truly productized to enable a wide set of missions, ranging from earth observation to communications and more, that advance our future as a society.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and escorting visitors, answering phone calls, and managing inquiries and scheduling at the front desk.
  • Managing & logging incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Coordinating with cleaning and repair/maintenance service providers for repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory levels for all office related items (including food/snacks).
  • Primary contact for visitor check-in procedures and ensuring visitor compliance with company policies.
  • Supporting the development and transition to our new factory location, including coordinating administrative tasks and assisting with logistics.
  • Collaborating with contractors, utility providers, and other external vendors for facility-related services and access.
  • Arranging and coordinating catering services for meetings and events.
  • Assisting with event planning and coordination for office functions and special events.
  • Performing miscellaneous administrative tasks, including compliance screenings and data entry. 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in office management, facilities, reception, or administrative roles.
  • Basic knowledge of office operations, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in addition to strong organizational/multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be adaptable to varying schedules and willing to assist with tasks of all sizes. No job too small mentality. 
  • Physical Requirements: position requires capability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. This role is active and will require physical tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Experience with event planning and coordination preferred.
  • Familiarity with ITAR/EAR compliance practices.
