The Role

We’re on the lookout for a proactive Sourcing and Production Manager to spearhead our operations and drive success across the board. If you’re passionate about orchestrating seamless production and sourcing strategies while keeping our calendar on track, we want to hear from you!

What you’ll do:

  • Streamline and standardize format for costing and margin review across all categories.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules for all product categories on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Identify and implement best practices in all areas of sourcing, production, quality assurance, and supply chain. Includes continually improving quality processes.
  • Work cross functionally with Design, Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, Planning and Finance to provide impactful information and insight to assist in informed decision making.
  • Evaluate sourcing opportunities to optimize quality/delivery/cost targets.
  • Manage the full supply chain process with a focus on negotiating raw materials and trims costs, bulk allocation, production planning and purchase order placement.
  • Ensure quick resolution of product related issues with appropriate Merchant, Design and Product Development team members.
  • Support Director of Sourcing in vendors that can achieve cost targets and meet quality requirements.
  • Understand and implement standards that deliver on the design vision.
  • Support Merchant’s needs and business requirements by aligning sourcing base with calendar and product needs.
  • Development and management of vendor KPIS to drive vendor performance.

What you’ll bring:

  • 8 years of experience in Production / Development / Sourcing, or some combination of those three.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to exceed IMU targets and gross profit goals through external and internal relationships.
  • In-depth working knowledge of different product categories, raw materials, and respective associated vendor relationships.
  • Positive attitude, be results-driven, and get hands-on.
  • Well-defined personal leadership style and clear best practices.
  • Experience working with a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledgeable about products, fabric, fit, washes, patterns, suppliers, and factories overseas production
  • Expertise about critical path, costing, manufacturing, and calendar management
  • A strong negotiator with the ability to find pragmatic solutions in a win, win context.
  • A very well-organized professional with excellent planning skills with high prioritization ability working on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Able to work under pressure maintaining attention to detail and accurate work in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Willingness to travel to visit overseas suppliers as required.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • BFA or BA in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field
  • English, additional language(s) an advantage
  • Children’s apparel experience a plus
  • Able to come into our LA office 2-3 days/week

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, experience and budget. The anticipated base salary range for the position in Los Angeles is $75,000 - $95,000
