Accounts Payable Specialist reports to the Accounts Payable Manager and will be responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing, including maintenance of automated invoice processing system, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures around the payables process and vouchering invoices. This role will also assist in preparing payment runs, clearing out various workflow queues and assisting in a range of various AP duties to ensure invoices are processed and paid timely. This job will have a hybrid work schedule with onsite days of Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the movement of invoices, including workflow errors, within our Accounts Payable automation tool to ensure timely vendor payments
• Review and reconcile vendor statements to ensure that the company is current, and the payments have been applied appropriately
• Make recommendations for continual process improvements and ensure procedures and policies are followed
• Work with internal departments to provide training
• Accurately code, process, route, and post non-PO invoices
• Handle vendor and internal inquiries promptly
• Manage Vendor Additions, Maintenance, & Resolutions
• Maintain bank payment templates
• Process Accounts Payable Payment Runs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 years of experience with Accounts Payable preferred
• Experience with AP Automation systems maintenance is desired
• Experience working in S2K or AS400, a plus
• Must have strong work ethics
• Must be well organized and a self-starter
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
• Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and in a professional manner
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
