AIRLINE HYDRAULICS CORP is Hiring a Sales Development Representative - Pittsburgh Near Pittsburgh, PA

Description

This information has been adapted from guidelines established by the US Department of Labor and can be used to assure the safety and productivity requirements by helping to accurately match employee qualifications with job functions.

The Sales Development Rep is part of an emerging team, tasked with proactively growing existing and new business. The SDR will work with new leads, lower market share customers, neglected accounts, and web customers for new order growth with line item, product mix, and solution services expansion. The SDR will also handle some Key accounts as an Inside Sales Rep. The SDR provides support for fluid power, automation, and/or motion control products. Target, cultivate and expansion of business at his/her customer portfolio will add to market share growth which is a key metric for the SDR. The SDR will at certain times make customer visits. This position reports to the Business Development Manager.

  • Qualify new leads and inquiries
  • Follow up on those leads that will be handled by the SDR
  • Handle new customer/Prospect Welcome letters
  • Proficiently learn and use HubSpot for campaigns and lead information
  • Reach out to assigned neglected account list (Phone/Email) to create touches to generate activity
  • Handle some key accounts as assigned
  • Engage current users to expand awareness, educate, identify new opportunities, and develop account intelligence
  • Research potential clients and verify previous contact within Hubspot. If true new client, connect with and educate prospects and qualify leads before handing them off to the sales team
  • Respond to customer inquiries pertaining to products, services, prices, availability, and/or order status via email, phone, and website
  • Assist and advise customers in the selection of the appropriate product(s) and/or service(s) based upon the customer’s requirements
  • Proactive outreach to web shoppers with effort to have them register as new customers in our system
  • Engage vendors to procure materials and expedite shipments
  • Work with all other departments to coordinate and assure customer requirements, and expectations are fulfilled, and conflicts are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer
  • Support, interact, and work in tandem with members of the outside sales team to build and retain customer relations
  • Make pricing decisions on demand when communicating with customers; responsible for communicating with pricing teams to maintain accurate information within each customer account in the business system
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as directed by management and as listed in SOP

Requirements

  • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Previous experience in fluid power, industrial, or electrical distribution preferred
  • Knowledge of fluid power and/or automation and/or motion control products is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts
  • Previous success in inside sales and/or experience in a technical support role is preferred
  • Proven business development success through effective use of core sales tools: Hub Spot, LinkedIn, Google, WebConnect, and P21 a plus
  • Ability to collaborate with a distributed sales team
  • Capability of understanding customer pain points
  • Strong and professional communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation
  • Aptitude to manage numerous requests and time demands concurrently while achieving goals from assigned tasks or set of accounts
  • Promotes a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables. Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the team
  • Excellent telephone personality with proven ability to maintain customer relationships
  • ERP, Epicor P21, and B2B experience is preferred
  • Highly proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of handling multiple high-pressure tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and self-directed environment
  • Some occasional travel may be required for customer visits and training purposes
