The Opportunity:

This is a full-time position based out of Advanced Power’s Boston office.

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Manager of Accounting and working closely with the Senior Accountant, the candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounts payable functions for both of Advanced Power’s corporate entities as well as entities in the development business. Core duties will include:

• Daily accounting and operational responsibilities
  • Accounts payable
  • Cash management
  • Intercompany activity
  • Assist project teams and other accountants when required
• Weekly / Monthly activities
  • Weekly check runs in NetSuite and banking system
  • Adherence to the Company’s controls and procedures
  • Ensuring proper approvals are received timely
  • Travel and expense reporting
• Heavy support for all audits performed by independent auditors

Qualifications:

One to three years of related experience. Bachelor’s degree with business and accounting courses (CPA is not required).

• Strong basic excel skills for reporting and analysis are required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage with multiple tasks at hand
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
