A Helping Home, LLC is Hiring an Office Assistant (part-time) Near Pittsburgh, PA

A Helping Home is a residential agency that provides support for indiviuals with ID. We are looking to fill a part time human resource assistant position.

Position Description:
This position will provide administrative support to all functional areas of HR including Payroll, Recruitment, Employee Relations and general department functions.

  • Preparing, maintaining and ongoing monitoring of employee active & terminated files, assuring accuracy, compliance with all applicable laws and confidentiality.
  • Processes pre-employment hiring function including background checks, references, sanction checks, FBI clearance, license verifications, education verifications, etc.
  • Maintaining and/or distributing various Human Resources related materials including benefit information, summary plan descriptions, employee policy manuals, recruitment information, etc.
  • Phone screens with applicants for vacant positions that recruiter(s) are working to fill.
  • Assists with on-boarding, preparation of new hire packets, including all employment paperwork and benefit forms and assists with new employee orientation.
  • Manages new hire information, employee change requests, status and pay rate adjustments, compiles reports from database as needed.
  • Maintains and monitors all staff expirations (Physicals, Insurances, etc), notifying and reminding supervisors and staffs, ensures staff compliance.
  • Provides superior customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions and investigate in conjunction with HR staff solutions regarding general HR and benefit related issues.
  • Performs clerical functions as needed, i.e., photo copying, faxing, filing, etc.

Candidate must have excellent customer service skills, experience with Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills with all levels of staff. Candidate must have experience working in an HR environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
