Overview

The Business Development & Sales Manager is a goal-oriented “Driver” that uses the robust resources available to them to strategically determine new account opportunities, and then assertively pursues and acquires these accounts. The seller in this critical role must have an enhanced focus on creating new dedicated local customers and shifting share from the hotel’s competitors. The manager is responsible for direct, proactive, and targeted prospecting leading to new account acquisition and existing account growth.

This Position is Bonus Eligible.

Qualifications

  • 2-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year in a business development role with proven track record of success. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, familiarity with Delphi or other hotel sales systems a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agency 360 (Hotelligence), Knowland, Cvent, and/or other BI resources is a plus. 
  • Strong understanding of negotiation and interpretation of proposals and contracts.
  • Proactive approach, assertive and fast paced, driven to succeed.
  • Time management skills. Being able to work on multiple projects with desired outcome for each.
  • Ability to communicate effectively amongst all levels of the organization.
  • Some travel required.
