StarCare Specialty Health System is in search of a Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHP) to join the Outreach & Recovery Center (ORC) Team as a Mental Health Outreach & Recovery Case Manager.

Outreach & Recovery Case Manager Responsibilities:

• Provides services to diverse populations who are receiving services through StarCare's Outreach and Recovery Center (ORC).
• Services are provided both on-site and in the community for identified needs and around approved individual plans of service.
• Services include: providing hands-on, in-vivo skills training, symptom management, support, medication monitoring, crisis intervention, and peer support; addressing substance abuse, criminal justice, housing, money management and employment issues; communication, pertinent clinical information; providing face-to-face contact with consumers and their support systems and other services as needed.
• This position will be a very versatile position and will require regular contact and interaction with assigned case load, as well as interactions on a requested basis by program management.

Schedule:This is a full-time/non-exempt position scheduled Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with flexibility to meet the needs of the Outreach & Recovery Center.

Education Requirements: Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with major course work in a Human Services Field (Human Development /Family Studies, Psychology, Sociology, etc) and two (2) years full-time experience in a related field, preferred.

• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication with the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills with a team oriented work style.
• Organized, detail oriented, computer proficient, and have the ability to write clearly and concisely.
• Ability to respond to individuals with patience, empathy, and understanding.
• Experience in working with individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or severe emotional disturbances.
• Knowledge of the social services system and the ability to guide workforce members in connecting individuals with appropriate services.
• Ability to work under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
• Knowledge and skill in operating standard office equipment (phone, fax, copier, printer) and personal computer with Microsoft Office products is required.

Additional Requirements:

• Must pass a pre-hire drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must have a Texas driver's license and be insurable under the Agency's insurance.
• Local travel using personal vehicle is required. Agency provides mileage reimbursement at state approved rate.
