Fitness Center Attendant

Position Summary
The Fitness Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service to club members throughout the fitness facility at Diablo Country Club. This role focuses on ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained fitness environment by greeting members, maintaining equipment, and promoting the club's fitness offerings.

Work Performed

• Provide consistent professional service to members in accordance with club standards
• Acknowledge and greet members who enter and leave the fitness facility
• Properly care for and maintain fitness equipment
• Maintain eye contact when addressing members
• Handle member questions and concerns professionally and courteously
• Properly clean and sanitize fitness equipment
• Maintain a clean, well-organized and stocked fitness area
• Have complete knowledge of all fitness offerings while educating members
• Actively promote fitness programs and services
• Provide courteous, accurate, and prompt responses to ensure member satisfaction
• Adhere to opening and closing procedures per club protocols
• Accurately book, change, and cancel fitness class reservations
• Utilize club computer systems proficiently
• Follow stock replenishment procedures
• Adhere to club policy guidelines

Minimum Requirements for Position:

• Demonstrated knowledge of customer service principles with a focus on hospitality.
• Basic understanding of fitness and a willingness to learn specific program offerings.
• Must be 18 years of age or older with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Preferably CPR, AED, and First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification within 90 days of employment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements:

• Capable of performing frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
• Comfortable with frequent repetitive motions and continuous standing and walking.
• Ability to work in the warm and humid environment typical of a fitness center.
