Position Summary
The Banquet Busser/Runner at Diablo Country Club plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of special events and functions. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The Banquet Busser/Runner is responsible for maintaining a clean and inviting event space, assisting with setup and breakdown, and supporting the banquet service team in delivering exceptional experiences for our members and guests.

Reporting Relationship: Banquet Manager

Work Performed

• Assist in the setup of banquet rooms, including table arrangements, place settings, and decorations, according to event specifications.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of event spaces throughout the function, including promptly clearing tables, replacing linens, and replenishing service items as needed.
• Support banquet servers by delivering food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables efficiently and accurately.
• Assist with the service of water, bread, and other non-alcoholic beverages to guests.
• Maintain a clean and organized back-of-house area, including dishwashing and storage of equipment and supplies.
• Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of event spaces after the conclusion of the function, ensuring all areas are left clean and tidy.
• Communicate effectively with banquet servers, kitchen staff, and supervisors to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to accommodate last-minute changes or special requests.
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Attend pre-event meetings and training sessions to stay informed and continually enhance service skills.

Minimum Requirements for Position:

• Previous experience in a food service or hospitality setting preferred.
• Strong work ethic and ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine commitment to teamwork and guest satisfaction.
• Ability to follow instructions and pay close attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid food handler's certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting and moving tables, chairs, and other event setup items.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and supervisors.
