Position Summary
The Busser at Diablo Country Club is a critical member of the food and beverage team, ensuring a clean, comfortable, and inviting dining environment for our members and guests. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. The Busser works closely with servers and other team members to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in our dining areas.

Reporting Relationship: Restaurant Manager

Work Performed

• Set tables with appropriate place settings, linens, and glassware for each meal period, ensuring consistency and attention to detail.
• Clear dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware from tables promptly and efficiently, delivering them to designated areas for cleaning.
• Assist servers in maintaining a clean and inviting dining room by promptly removing used items and refreshing table settings as needed.
• Refill water glasses and assist with beverage service to ensure members and guests have a seamless dining experience.
• Communicate effectively with servers and other team members to anticipate and address any needs or concerns.
• Participate in pre-meal meetings and assist with opening and closing duties to ensure the dining room is properly prepared for service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all sanitation and hygiene standards.
• Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to assist other team members as needed to promote a cohesive and efficient operation.

Minimum Requirements for Position:

• Proven experience in a similar role within a high-end dining establishment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine commitment to providing exceptional service.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires frequent bending, reaching, and stooping.
• Ability to visually inspect dining areas and identify items needing attention.
