Banquet Bartender

Position Summary
The Banquet Bartender at Diablo Country Club is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service during special events and functions. This role requires a passion for mixology, extensive knowledge of beverages, and a commitment to creating memorable experiences for our members and guests. The Banquet Bartender works closely with the banquet team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction throughout each event.

Reporting Relationship: Banquet Manager

Work Performed

• Set up and maintain well-stocked and visually appealing bar stations for banquet events.
• Craft a wide range of cocktails, tailored to event specifications and guest preferences.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and engage with guests, sharing insights on wine, beer, and spirit selections.
• Collaborate with the banquet team to ensure efficient and timely beverage service throughout the event.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and communicate restocking needs to the Banquet Manager.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices and enforce proper identification procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with all health and sanitation standards.
• Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of bar stations after the conclusion of the event.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to accommodate last-minute changes or special requests.

Attend pre-event meetings and training sessions to stay informed

Minimum Requirements for Position:

• Minimum of two years of experience as a bartender in a high-volume, upscale dining or banquet setting.
• Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and mixology techniques.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for providing outstanding service.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proficient in using POS systems and processing transactions accurately.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state alcohol service certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting and carrying cases of beverages and bar supplies.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests, team members, and supervisors.
