Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for an excellent company in Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining vendor relationships. Duties:
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures - Approximately 200 invoices per week
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts payable data
- Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issues
- Generate financial reports detailing accounts payable status
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience (with a Bachelors degree) OR 5 years of recent A/P experience (with a HS diploma of Associates degree)
- Proficient in an ERP accounting software package (Great Plains is a plus)
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
