Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee food production and packaging facility, producing fresh food products
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production workers
- Maintain and strive to improve efficiency standards
- Comply with SQF standards
- Demonstrate a full understanding of culinary practices and hold production team members accountable for using proper portion control methods and techniques
- Control food and labor cost
- Experience managing a food production and packaging facility
- ServSafe Certification and HACCP understanding is a plus
- State Inspection experience
- Understanding of department production flows
- Intermediate mechanical understanding of food production & packaging equipment is a plus
- Excellent time management skills and ability to focus on details
- A full understanding of weights and measures
- Understanding of S.O.P., S.S.O.P. and G.M.P.
- Ability to interact and work with all involved in the food safety inspection process
