**Overview/Basic Function:**
In collaboration with our Chef De Cuisine's (CDC), the Chef De Partie will oversee all aspects of food production and service. You will ensure that culinary standards align with the expectations of our CDCs and Executive Chef, while providing leadership to maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation within the kitchen. Your role is pivotal in upholding the culinary philosophy that defines CordeValle.
**Responsibilities:**
- Adhere to departmental policies, service procedures, and CordeValle's culinary standards.
- Collaborate with CDCs to maintain staff compliance with policies and procedures.
- Work with CDCs and Executive Chef to prioritize tasks and assign production and prep responsibilities.
- Manage supply requisitions, ensuring correct receipt and storage, while promptly addressing discrepancies.
- Monitor staff attendance and coordinate breaks to maintain productivity.
- Ensure opening and closing duties are completed efficiently to avoid unnecessary overtime.
- Stock kitchen work areas appropriately to meet business demands.
- Monitor staff performance, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
- Promote positive guest relations and respond accurately to guest inquiries.
- Conduct frequent kitchen walkthroughs to address deficiencies and maintain quality standards.
- Ensure staff compliance with sanitation regulations and grooming standards.
- Provide training to new hires and assist catering departments during events as needed.
- Minimize waste and maintain cost controls.
- Foster a cooperative working environment to maximize productivity and morale.
