ROLE SUMMARY
The h. wood Group is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator responsible for providing administrative support to the HR Department and assisting with various HR functions. A successful HR Coordinator will play a pivotal role in benefits administration, employee certification management, maintaining accurate employee records, recruitment administration, and other HR related tasks as needed. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Benefits Administration
    • Ensure all new hire information is entered into our benefits platform timely and accurately
    • Comprehensive understanding of our benefits offerings and the ability to answer employee questions regarding our various plans 
    • Perform monthly audits to ensure all benefits information including, but not limited to, employee demographics, employee status, and insurance deduction information are accurate
    • Assist in conducting annual Open Enrollment
  • Employee Certification and Records Management
    • Ensure all new hires are informed of and complete their certification and training requirements in a timely manner 
    • Maintain accurate employee records including, but not limited to, up-to-date data entry and comprehensive electronic employee files 
    • Ensure records accuracy by conducting monthly audits 
    • Monitor and respond to Unemployment Claims as needed based on employee file information 
    • Implement and respond to employee income withholding orders 
  • Recruitment Administration
    • Assist in drafting, editing, and identifying areas of improvement for job descriptions and hiring criteria
    • Aid in posting open positions on our applicant tracking site (ATS) and other recruiting platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and Zip Recruiter
    • Support the HR team, managers, and directors with various recruitment tasks and events as needed
  • General Tasks
    • Assist with all department functions and administrative tasks as needed 
    • Participate in special projects and initiatives and provide general support to the HR team as needed 
    • Receives, organizes, and processes all incoming HR-related mail
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1-2 years experience in Human Resources or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
  • Exceptional organization skills and strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent communication skills, high level of confidentiality, and strong follow-through 
  • Extremely proactive, with the ability to multitask and handle a varied workload 
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, hospitality-centered corporate environment
  • Spanish/English bilingual highly preferred
