Pender Community Hospital District is Hiring a Patient Service Representative (PRN) Near Pender, NE
Ensures patients and customers are processed in a professional, timely and efficient manner, and accounts are created accurately and efficiently in order to optimize cash flow for hospital revenue, exceed customer expectations and comply with all state and federal regulations and laws throughout the processes of scheduling confirmation, pre-registration/pre admission, registration/admission, insurance verification, receipting of payments, and escorting, in a timely, organized, courteous, and professional manner in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Pender Community Hospital.
Hours: As needed, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, Saturday, 8:00am-12:00pm
Experience and Skills
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Effective knowledge and familiarity with word processing, computer navigation, and e-mail
- Must have knowledge of correct telephone answering techniques
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and all members of the health care team
- Is able to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change
- Minimum 3 years customer services experience preferred
- None required
