Pender Community Hospital District is Hiring an Outpatient Nursing Assistant (part-time) Near Pender, NE

Job Description:

Assist professional nursing staff by performing routine duties in handling and serving patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Pender Community Hospital.

  • Works under the direction of the RN and/or LPN, but is accountable to prioritize and carry out assigned duties
  • Assists the RN using proper body mechanics to position the patient for wound care or treatment
  • Maintains order of supplies & equipment within the department. Restocks supplies as needed
  • Obtains vital signs & weights, and records with accuracy. Completes department specific patient documentation in a concise and accurate manner
  • Disinfects wound care room & equipment between clinic patients. Prepares room for terminal cleaning by environmental services
  • Provides safe transportation of patients by wheelchair, cart or ambulation
  • Orients new personnel as appropriate and provides productive feedback to supervisory positions.
  • Assists in other areas of the outpatient clinic as needed. Preforms other duties as assigned.


Hours:
Minimum 20 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

Wage: Competitive, based on experience
Experience and Skills:

Education, Experience:

  • Must be sixteen (16) years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, if applicable
  • Previous experience preferred.

Certificates, Licensure, Registrations:

  • Certified Nursing Certification preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of hire
